The roots of our firm can be traced back to the last part of the 1970's. Jim Perry and Bob Hay were both audit managers at Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young) when they decided to leave and start a firm of their own, calling it Perry & Hay. In 1980, Ken Chu and his firm Kenneth T. Chu & Associates merged with Perry & Hay, bringing with him over 20 years of public accounting experience in the Los Angeles area. In 2005, Ken Chu announced his retirement from the firm after an accounting career spanning five decades.
As the firm continued to grow, more staff was brought in to serve our expanding client base.
With over 10 people on staff, including 5 certified public accountants, we take a great deal of pride in our ability to retain qualified personnel. Half of our staff has been with us for over 15 years, many have been with us 20 years or more. Our outstanding staff retention not only underlines the dedication of our company, but ensures that clients will find continuity in our service and the ability to establish long-term working relationships with our personnel.
